Induction heating applications
The fact that no medium is necessary allows inductive heating the possibility to heat objects which normally cannot be appropriately heated or only poorly so by conventional methods.
Below is a list of various applications with induction heating:
-Induction Melting / Induction furnace
There are many conceivable applications. For example:
-By utilizing metallic and non-metallic materials, non-metals can be indirectly heated. This makes possible the heating of plastics, adhesives, etc...
-Conductive liquids can also be heated. Food industry applications for warming sauces, soups and the like are quite conceivable.
-Glass can be melted quickly and efficiently in an iridium-platinum crucible (no long preheating time as in fire-clay furnace).
