Power Electronics
Power electronics is considered a specific branch of electrical engineering where high electric currents and voltages are converted using special electronic control components.
Electronics are most commonly associated with signal and data processing. However, with power electronics the control and conversion of electrical energy is the primary objective. What is normal for all electronic components is that they are controlled and activated by electrical signals. Power electronics utilize these classic attributes whilst working in parallel with mechanically or electromagnetically activated switches and/or control elements.
We are specialists in the field of power electronics and make it a priority to stay current with the latest issues and developments. Much of our experience comes from years of manufacturing high frequency generators which operate between 1 kHz - 13.56 MHz and have varied power outputs of between 1 – 600 kW.
Our experience
Project example -> Trapezoidal Pulse Generator
High voltage, high power function generator @ 60 kVA. Creates triangle, trapezoid, and square-waves. Built for the research and development branch of ALSTOM Switzerland.
